Since the summer of 2007, representatives from Downtown Milford, Inc. and City of Milford Parks & Recreation department have met to discuss plans for the upcoming festival. Although still 7 months away, Bug & Bud Festival is quickly becoming one of Milford's most loved events and requires extensive planning efforts. With the exception of a few paid staffers from each organization, the festival runs in large part thanks to the hard work from a variety of volunteers, community organizations, and generous sponsors. The festival serves as a celebration of Arbor Day and the recognition of the ladybug becoming Delaware's official state bug.
